01 / About

What I do

I'm a software developer with 10+ years of experience building and maintaining production PHP applications, with a strong focus on backend systems, web application development, and integrations. I build custom PHP and Laravel applications, REST APIs, and database-driven platforms for higher-education and enterprise environments.

At the University of Tennessee I'm the Director of Software Development for Digital Learning, leading the team that builds the applications supporting prospective and enrolled online students. Even in that role, the work I care most about is hands-on development and problem solving, and I mentor other developers through code reviews and architecture discussions while staying an active contributor.

I also collaborate closely with design, marketing, and operations teams to turn approved designs into production-ready software. You can see a selection of my work below.
